Updating vcenter vds data
GO to add the virtual disks to VCenter- I see the Perc H310 Mini Blades adaptor but when I click on the adaptor I do not see the virtual disks even after a rescan. I'm a bit confused with your terminology of virtual disks and v Center Server?
Do you mean you have configured storage and arrays for the VRTX ?
I have always downloaded from VMware- i fact I have been to Dell Equal Logic conferences and never heard of this.
I've been using Vendor OEM versions for many many years....
v Center Server™ 5.1.0b | 20 December 2012 | Build 947939 v Center Server™ Appliance 5.1.0b | 20 December 2012 | Build 947940 Last updated: Check for additions and updates to these release notes The VMware Product Interoperability Matrix provides details about the compatibility of current and previous versions of VMware v Sphere components, including ESXi, VMware v Center Server, the v Sphere Web Client, and optional VMware products.
In addition, check this site for information about supported management and backup agents before installing ESXi or v Center Server.
Also note, make sure you download and use the OEM DELL version of ESXi for this server, and not the download from VMware.
Has Blades/Storage/Switching built into one server. C--Users-rhayes-Downloads-Dell-Power Edge I'm very familiar with it, (we've had many issues with support 5.1, 5.5, and also performance issues!
), Dell Released and Advertised it in Summer 2014, and it didn't support 5.5, which was released by VMware 12 months earlier!
I have Dell VRTX with 2 Blades I installed VMware 6.0 ESXI on both blades and have connected to them- setup a server using the internal storage and installed VSphere Server everything is good.
I have setup a couple of virtual disks in the VRTX environment- everything happened with no issues.
here's the Dell reason, on their website I'm afraid so, I didn't think ESXi 6.0 has been released yet for VRTX, last time I looked..not been advised by Dell yet!
